Meet Tara, one of our chiropractic assistants. You’ll get to spend most of your first day in our office with her! Tara received her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Physiology with an emphasis in exercise science from The University of Iowa in May 2016.
Tara has always worked and been involved in healthcare, but had a hard time finding a field that she was really passionate about…until she discovered chiropractic! Since starting her career at Radiance, she has not only seen significant improvements in her own health (headaches, sleep problems, immune system, menstrual issues, allergies) but has seen so many other people’s health restored through chiropractic. Tara has always been passionate about helping people and loves that she can now help people live happier, healthier lives through principled chiropractic care!
A fun fact about Tara is that she was actually born in West Virginia! She’s lived there and Virginia but has been in Iowa since she was about 12. In her free time, Tara enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exercising, being outside and overall just being active and busy throughout her community.
Kari was born and raised in Iowa. She grew up in Marshalltown and then moved to Cedar Falls to study at the University of Northern Iowa. She graduated from there with her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. Soon after college she was married. Her and her husband now live in Waterloo. In Kari’s free time she enjoys camping, board games, snowboarding and walks.
When Kari first started with Radiance Chiropractic that was her first encounter with any thing related to chiropractic. Since she has started she has learned so much about how chiropractic care can help everyone, but also reminded that the body is created to heal from the inside out. Kari really enjoys being able to serve her community well through chiropractic care.
A fun fact about Kari is that she is the oldest of seven children. There is a 16 year span between her and her youngest sibling. She really enjoys spending time with all her siblings.

Frequently Asked Questions
I've never been to a chiropractor before, what should I expect?
At Radiance Chiropractic we take our time to educate you fully on our process. We ensure that all of your questions are answered before your first adjustment. On day 1, you can expect to take a tour of our office, x-rays on site if needed, and an exam utilizing our NASA published technology.
Do you take insurance?
We work with a variety of insurances and plans. We will always do a complimentary benefits check for you when you come in, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before making any decisions. If you are unable to use your insurance, we offer cash discounts that are often times lower than insurance provider rates.
do i need to take x-rays?
Each person is unique and each situation is different. We utilize x-rays as a diagnostic tool to better understand the structure of the spine and to see how long the root cause of health concerns and underlying issues have been present.
How long do my visits take?
We respect your time and want to ensure that consistent chiropractic care doesn’t get in the way of the rest of your busy schedule. Other than your first two visits which are longer, your following adjustment visits should take less than 15 minutes each time.
how do you adjust?
We utilize the most specific and researched technique in chiropractic, Torque Release Technique. Learn more about Torque Release Technique here.
Is there anything I should bring with me?
